Job Title: Microbiology Media Technician

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field

Shift

Monday-Friday 10am-7:30pm

Job Description

• Register incoming samples as needed and maintain a neat and accurate record system of work performed daily and as required for quality control tests or regulatory purposes.

• Enter sample data into the eLIMS system in a timely and accurate manner.

• Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples efficiently and accurately, ensuring sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded.

• Verify results and submit them to the appropriate personnel for transmission in a timely manner.

• Identify process difficulties and report them along with proposed solutions to the supervisor.

• Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and co-workers.

• Maintain cooperative working relationships with all company employees and communicate effectively with co-workers both orally and in writing.

• Promote the company image through ethical business practices related to the public and customers.

• Strive to improve the quality of work provided to clients through existing and new technologies.

• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.

• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
