We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Des Moines area. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that timesheets are accurately logged and all payroll functions are performed efficiently. The selected candidate will be working closely with union workers and utilizing a variety of accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of timesheets and payroll for union workers

• Utilize accounting software systems to upload timesheet data

• Verify that hours are correctly coded to respective jobs and locations

• Once acclimated, cross-check that payroll is accurately coded to the correct unions, pay rates, and travel charges

• Enter additional charges such as per diem expenses

• Communicate regularly with foremen to ensure timely submission of timesheets with a three-day turnaround

• Conduct corrections on payroll entries as necessary to ensure workers are paid within the designated timeframe

• Handle accounting and benefit functions related to payroll

• Enter payroll on a weekly basis

• Complete corrections needed on a timely basis

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions

• Experience with Union Payroll

• Ability to manage Weekly Payroll

• Experience in handling Full Cycle Payroll

• Capable of managing Travel Expense
