The Oracle Life Sciences GIU leads in providing integrated data collection and data management solutions for clinical trials and drug safety. As part of the LSGIU development organization, you'll contribute to a mission-critical platform that empowers our customers to tackle global healthcare challenges in areas such as vaccines and oncology with unparalleled performance, scale, and reliability. Successful candidates will be strong team players capable of working across multiple functions and disciplines. You should be self-directed with deep experience and knowledge in software design, coding, and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • As part of the software engineering division, you'll play a key role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures.

  • Strategically participate in creating scalable, self-healing, autonomous platform solutions.

  • Provide leadership and expertise in developing new products, services, and processes, often operating at the forefront of technology.

  • Define how to leverage the latest technologies to optimize the operational efficiency of the architecture supporting Oracle Health Sciences Cloud Service Offerings.

  • Perform professional software development tasks, including developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.

  • Drive a customer-first culture, keeping the customer at the forefront of decision-making.

  • Lead a holistic and integrated approach to ensuring data integrity, information confidentiality, and service availability.

  • Define and monitor performance indicators.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 years of software engineering or related experience.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
