We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Development Leader to oversee and lead our Product Development team that builds and maintains our commercial facing agronomy software products, including Granular Insights. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading product development initiatives from conception through to launch, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, digital solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards achieving ambitious goals. As the Product Development Leader, you will report directly to the VP of Agriculture Solutions, serve as a member of the Farming Solutions & Digital leadership team, and will partner with others up, down, and across the organization to help drive and curate the future of our digital solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee and lead the development and deployment of external-facing digital products for our customers, agents, and partners

  • From design to launch, set and manage to clear timelines for delivery

  • Lead and prioritize the product lifecycle and engineering schedule

  • Manage and maintain production environments, partnering with other teams to ensure systems and infrastructure can enable seamless transition of data and models to production

  • Continuously monitor and manage technical debt

  • Participate in team capital planning exercises, leading initiatives around external-facing software investments

  • Effectively communicate concepts, project status, results and emerging technology opportunities

  • Continuously focus on team and talent development, building a strong bench, and recruiting and retaining highly skilled team members

What Skills You Need:

  • At least10 years of experience in technical product management or software engineering, with a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

  • Track record of exhibiting thought leadership, challenging the status quo, and driving innovation

  • Strong quantitative skills and experience working in digital, including working with diverse data and data systems, software and hardware development

  • Ability to lead through influence and to operate effectively in matrixed organizations

  • Effective people leadership skills and track record of developing people and teams

  • Demonstrated knowledge of our business and the ag industry

  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong track record delivering results

  • Excellent communication skills
