The Iowa Office of Civil Rights (IOCR) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as aPublic Service Supervisor to lead and manage the Administrative Team.

Position Overview:
As a Public Service Supervisor, you will be a key player in the enforcement of civil rights laws within the state of Iowa. This role is a unique blend of administrative professional and team leadership. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team of professionals while overseeing the administrative functions of the IOCR, ensuring not only legal compliance with federal contracts but also the efficient, effective, and timely processing of cases. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing support and supervision to the administrative team, as well as contributing to the overall mission of the Agency.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision: Directly supervise the daily duties of the Administrative team, which includes full- and part-time administrative associates and clerk specialists.
Complaint Filing: Oversee the administrative requirements of the employment investigative process, ensuring timely case processing and production to meet federal contract requirements.
Data Entry Compliance: Review and record administrative work input in IOCR and federal databases.
Training: Manage the training of administrative employees to ensure compliance with state and federal law.
Team Leadership: Conduct regular team meetings to cohesively address issues and implement necessary changes.
General Management: Identify and resolve administrative issues, provide input, and make recommendations to senior management and implement solutions and programs as directed.
Communications: Act as the primary conduit for outside communications, and directing communications to professional staff and senior management team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of word processing programs and data entry applications.
Previous experience in administration and case management.
Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
1) Graduation from high school (or GED equivalent) and experience equal to four years of full-time work experience in general office administrative support; specialized technical program support; or program administration, development, management, or operations.
2) All of the following (a, b, and c):
a. Graduation from high school (or GED equivalent); and
b. One year of full-time work experience in general office administrative support; technical program support; or program administration, development, management, or operations; and
c. A total of three years of education and full-time experience (as described in part b), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work in any field equals one year of full-time experience. Graduation from the Iowa Certified Public Manager Program is also equivalent to one year of full-time experience or education.

Additional Qualification Requirements
Within a period of time after hire, as determined by the appointing authority, persons in this class may be required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and endorsements..
