Our Scheduling Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective scheduling. This position involves coordinating team member schedules, maintaining communication with external parties, and prioritizing client health and safety. The Scheduler also supports team members and contributes to program quality.

Responsibilities Include-

Scheduling and Communication:

Develop and communicate team member and client schedules using scheduling software.

Coordinate team member schedules.

Communicate staffing changes to external parties, ensuring client and family access to scheduling information.

Client Health and Safety:

Maintain active communication with Team Leaders to prioritize client health and safety needs.

Serve as a positive role model for team members, demonstrating professionalism and enthusiasm.

Productivity Tracking:

Track and maintain 24-hour Supported Community Living (SCL) Direct Support Professional (DSP) productivity.

Submit productivity reports to Team Leaders within established time frames.

On-Call Support:

  • Provide support to team members via on-call phone as required by the schedule. Participate in 4 week, on call rotation.

  • Collaborate with team members, guardians, and clients to resolve issues outside normal business hours.

    Client Support:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, cooking, eating, and leisure skills as needed.

  • Stay informed about mental health needs and related treatment protocols.

    Program Participation:

  • Attend team meetings, providing feedback and solutions for quality program development.

  • Assist with program evaluation as requested.

    Documentation and Compliance:

  • Complete all required documentation accurately.

  • Track and maintain position certifications and agency-required trainings.

    Performance Standards:

  • Meet and maintain productivity standards.

  • Perform other assigned duties to support team goals.

    Customer Focus:

  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively address them.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and previous relevant experience.

  • Ability to understand, organize, and extrapolate from large sets of data.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in database management.

  • Advanced organizational skills.

  • Ability to make independent decisions based on established policy, procedure, and standard practice.

  • Professional demeanor, exemplifying Easterseals values.

  • Preferred experience in Easterseals SCL department.

  • Experience working with people who have disabilities preferred.

  • Certified in CPR (Adult and Child) and First Aid or ability to receive certification during the first 90 days of employment.

  • Successful completion of Mandatory Reporter of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within the first 30 days.

  • Ability to pass Relational Mandt training.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Iowa Class D Chauffeur's driver's license.

  • Successful completion of a Medication Management course during the first 90 days of employment.

  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings at various locations.

  • Insurable under Easterseals Iowa vehicle insurance policy.

  • Desire to develop leadership skills and work in a team environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift.

  • Capability to transfer or move a minimum of eighty pounds.

  • Access to reliable transportation for regular participation at work.

  • Availability to carry the Supported Community Programs on-call phone to assist team members, guardians, and clients outside normal business hours.

    Interview process consists or 1st phone interview with Recruitment and Talent Development Coordinator and 2nd Team Leader Interview.
