Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivers mission-critical applications for top tier enterprises around the world. OCI is expanding its mission beyond the traditional boundaries of public cloud to include dedicated, hybrid and multi cloud, edge computing, and more.

At Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization, our mission is to support customer choice, transparency, and value when it comes to cloud infrastructure. We’re embarking on ambitious new initiatives such as building new innovative platforms, high performance primitives, frameworks to support OCI developers, and new container runtime that will allow us to run the full variety of OCI services, including our most demanding, high-performance, high-availability services. We’re also working on new ingenuities such as providing canonical implementation of core components for data planes through a data-plane runtime framework, developing a remote persistent storage solution with the latency and performance comparable to that of a local nVME drive, and developing standards and tools to identify critical performance improvements across OCI data-planes. We are hoping to enhance engineering efficiency by concentrating our expertise on building low level systems with high performance that can be adopted by our core cloud services across OCI.

In addition, TSO organization is charged with creation and governance of the OCI-wide programs to improve organizational engineering standards, governing processes, architectural review boards, change management, intercoms, PSA’s, and recruiting tools.

Responsibilities

We have an immediate need for a driven Senior Administrative Assistant / Executive Assistant who will work directly with our Senior Vice President and provide in-office support for OCI executives coming into the office. This is a full-time in-office role based in our downtown Seattle or Nashville offices. We’re also entertaining a possibility for this role to be US-based remote role.

Job Requirements:

  • Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated.

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  • Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative is needed in resolving problems and making recommendations.

  • Handles details of a highly confidential and critical nature.

  • Collects and prepares sensitive information for use in discussions and meetings with the organization's staff and external individuals.

  • Normally does not receive work instructions, may determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise other administrative employees.

  • Proficient in desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email messaging tools, etc.

  • Analyzes problems, determines approach, compiles, and analyzes data in the preparation of reports and/or recommendations. May analyze basic spreadsheet models and track projects.

  • Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports.

  • Spends time on special projects. Projects may include training new hires on policies and procedures, project coordination and logistics, documentation and collateral coordination, liaison to Human Resources, create administration manuals. May participate in operational task forces.

  • Provide administrative/clerical support to a function, group, or customer base.

  • Support various TSO org executive levels up to SVP.

  • Spend less than 20% of time providing administrative support to relieve managers and staff of administrative and clerical details.

  • Spend more than 80% of time on special projects. Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative is needed in resolving problems and making recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years executive and/or office management experience required.

  • Anticipating and solving problems proactively is essential.

  • Calendar management is necessary.

  • Knowledge of spreadsheet applications.

  • Proficient in desktop applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email messaging tools, etc.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent. 2 - 4 years of related experience.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from $27.07 to $54.13 per hour; from: $56,300 to $112,600 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
