SENECA TANK Service Mechanic in DES MOINES, Iowa

Summary: Under the direction of the Service Manager, the incumbent is responsible for diagnosing structural and functional aspects of liquid bulk tanks, chassis, and fluid delivery systems. The incumbent will repair and replace necessary parts and install additional components to existing equipment as indicated by their diagnosis.

Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Read job orders to determine work to be performed
  • Replace and repair malfunctioning parts
  • Install additional parts to existing units to enhance functioning and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

``` - Experience building or repairing diesel, gas, or hydraulic equipment utilizing hand, electric, and pneumatic tools - Prefer multiple years of experience installing truck bodies

Physical Demands:

Position requires ability to pass DOL requirements of a grade 4 heavy work physical capacity profile. This includes exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.

Visual requirements include clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color
