We are seeking a SOX Analyst for a short term contract employment opportunity in DES MOINES, Iowa, within the Banking industry. The SOX Analyst will play a crucial role in the Internal Audit team, focusing on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance testing for our affordable housing program.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the SOX compliance testing, ensuring the design and operation of internal controls related to financial reporting are effective.

• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations.

• Collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, and IT, to understand processes and controls.

• Provide guidance on SOX compliance matters and assist in the implementation of corrective actions.

• Assist in assessing risk areas and evaluating the impact of control deficiencies on financial reporting and compliance.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

• Oversee accounting functions and identify deficiencies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Skills in Auditing

• Ability to ensure Compliance

• Knowledge of Coso Framework

• Ability to identify and address Deficiencies
