Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Des Moines, Iowa. This role calls for a seasoned professional adept at managing financial data and ensuring its accuracy across various platforms. The Sr. Accountant will be an integral part of our finance team, focusing on balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Analyze and resolve discrepancies and variances in balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Collaborate with both internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address any findings or concerns.

• Develop and implement procedures aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations.

• Provide insightful financial analysis to assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

• Monitor and enforce compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff in a supportive capacity.

• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel to manage, organize, and present data effectively.

• Ensure the accurate processing of customer credit applications and maintenance of customer credit records. Requirements

• Applicant must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is necessary for this role.

• Candidate should be adept at performing Bank Reconciliations.

• Experience in managing General Ledger is required.

• The ability to handle Journal Entries is essential.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.

• The candidate must be experienced in handling Month End Close activities.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes is required.

• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion software will be beneficial for this role.

• The ideal candidate should have experience working with SAP.
