Principal Financial Group Sr Data Governance Analyst (Data Quality Program) in Des Moines, Iowa

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Sr Data Governance Analyst to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics team! You'll be responsible for implementing and driving a data quality program for our global enterprise. This will include onboarding a new data quality tool and create global enterprise consistency on how data quality is monitored and measured.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality program to enhance the consistency and usability of data across the global organization

  • Facilitate the development of data quality metrics, standards, and policies to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry regulations

  • Collaborate with the Data Management community, Risk, Privacy, Compliance to build processes and solutions and ensure business requirements are met

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of related professional data experience

  • Knowledge of data and analytics, governance, data management, data quality, and master data management concepts

  • Understanding of data quality management principles, methodologies, and tools

  • Skilled in collaborating with a variety of partners, including external consultants and vendors

  • Ability to influence others across multiple levels and business domains without formal authority

  • Strong communication and consulting skills with ability to clearly articulate to all leadership and easily translate complex topics for others to understand

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Ability to lead and influence team members through change initiatives

  • Knowledge of and experience using Data Governance and Data Management tools (e.g., Informatica Axon, Data3Sixty, Collibra, Anomalo, etc.) highly preferred

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$106400 - $144400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA.
