The Senior Export Manager is responsible for J&J affiliate export business out of the US Global Distribution hubs. This includes responsibility for order management, disputes management, issue resolution, cross-regional governance, process improvements, flow optimization, and process improvement/automation for affiliate export. The Senior Manager of NA Export is responsible for two direct reports and 16 indirect reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall direction on the execution of the Affiliate Export Team workload, including order management, disputes management, issue resolution, and other responsibilities. Implement and improve analytic and data insights capabilities to improve the execution of the business. Management of the $3.3MM Export P&L budget.

  • Ownership of tactical and strategic partnerships with affiliate partners to ensure accordance with efficiencies, policies and regulations. Demonstration of strong communication, negotiation skills, and influencing skills. Maintain and utilize a deep understanding of E2E business operations to maintain effective partnerships across an organization. This includes performance, compliance, regulatory, quality, special requests and issue resolution.

  • Document existing workflows and identify inefficiencies, analyze data to pinpoint areas for improvement, and implement solutions that leverage technology to streamline processes and optimize efficiency. Automate repetitive tasks, with the outcome of increasing efficiency and productivity within the organization.

  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the execution of Export projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on time delivery of project milestones, within budget, and according to the defined scope. Management of resources, coordinating teams, mitigating risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders to achieve project goals. Ensure team representation on Global and Regional projects that impact the Export team.

  • Maintain a highly effective team via ownership of the Export team's working dynamics, fostering a positive culture that maximizes productivity and engagement, by identifying areas for improvement in communication, collaboration, and processes, while aligning team behaviors with the organization's values and goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years of business experience is required,

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience across procurement, planning, manufacturing, and/or transportation.

  • A minimum of 5 years of people management experience

  • Demonstrated impact in increasingly complex leadership roles, including roles requiring orchestration, operations management, stakeholder management, delivery of results, and influence at varying organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated experience with people and organizational leadership is required, with a track record of developing and building diverse, high-performing teams.

  • Working knowledge of planning, international transportation, trade compliance and systems.

  • Experience delivering results against performance targets.

  • Ability to promote a vision, drive change, and transform teams (direct and matrixed) in alignment with evolving business objectives, via strong engagement and communication, is required.

  • Experience and success in managing complex projects & delivering business results is required.

  • Experience managing a budget and demonstrated success in delivering financial objectives is required.

  • Digital automation and data visualization knowledge and experience applying as solutions

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with export and transportation

Other:

  • This person may sit at any Continental U.S JNJ location

  • Travel up to 10% domestic/international

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 120000 to 207000.

  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
