Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled welders to join our dynamic team, responsible for welding and constructing structural components such as catwalks, stairways, handrails, and support structures. You will produce and assemble steel structures and equipment according to specifications, ensuring work meets quality requirements. Your role includes interpreting blueprints, operating hand tools, following safety requirements, meeting project deadlines, and maintaining department performance metrics. You will also perform quality control activities and collaborate with the lead and supervision for material needs. A 'Can Do' attitude is essential to help deliver products on-time, complete, and error-free.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a standard shift from Monday to Thursday, with common overtime on Fridays and occasional Saturdays, amounting to up to 50 hours a week during peak times. Shifts are 1st shift (6am-4:30pm) and 2nd shift (4:30pm-3am). The starting pay rate for 1st shift is $21.78, increasing post-training, and 2nd shift starts at $22.78, with a $1 shift differential. Advancement opportunities are available, leading to higher wages over time. We offer a hardworking but family-oriented culture in a diverse workforce. Work attire includes jeans, shirts, and steel-toe shoes, with PAPR Weld hoods provided.
