Principal Financial Group Worksite Portfolio Specialist in Des Moines, Iowa

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Worksite Portfolio Specialist to join our Enterprise Worksite Services team. In this role, you’ll support projects and the leasing of office spaces both domestically & internationally.

  • Has a strong understanding of contracts and statements of work. Independently defines and communicates expectations and measure impact against key performance metrics.

  • Build relationships with business partners to understand needs from a Corporate real estate perspective. Contribute to corporate real estate strategy based on an understanding of current and future business needs.

  • Takes initiative and coordinates portions and aspects of small-to-mid sized projects in alignment with overall company strategic initiatives related to corporate real estate. Contributes and partners in building Requests for Proposal.

  • Provides partnership with external contractors, vendors, and designers as well as internal partners on all phases of a project to ensure budgets are in line with the approved design and that construction is on schedule.

  • Maintains active relationships with Corporate Sourcing and Supplier Management, CRE leadership, and other stakeholders to administer the vision and core strategy of outsourced services. Conduct RFP execution, vendor contract review and renewal, supplier risk assessments, and procurement needs.

  • Perform other duties and essential functions as needed.

  • Degree in finance, economics, real estate, architecture or equivalent work experience.

  • Highly motivated and self-empowered to resolve customer issues, always applying sound, fact-based decision-making.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships is essential.

  • Agile individual who can quickly adapt to the ever-changing needs of our workplace and employees.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Potential travel 5-10%

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • Prior experience in real estate, vendor management, supplier management or project implementation preferred.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$57000 - $83600 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Due to the nature of this role working with global partners, nontraditional hours may be required at times to accommodate different time zones.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), work arrangements in Des Moines, IA. You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
