JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develop and Implement Curriculum: Create and deliver engaging STEM lesson plans that meet educational standards and cater to various learning styles for students in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Conduct Hands-On Experiments: Organize and supervise hands-on experiments and lab activities to help students understand scientific concepts and develop critical thinking skills.
Integrate Technology: Incorporate the use of technology and digital tools into the classroom to enhance learning and demonstrate real-world applications of STEM subjects.
Classroom Management: Maintain an orderly and safe classroom environment conducive to learning, ensuring all students are engaged and adhering to safety protocols during lab activities.
Assess Student Progress: Evaluate and document student performance through tests, projects, and observations, providing feedback and support to help them improve.
Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with other teachers and staff to integrate STEM activities across the curriculum and support interdisciplinary learning.
Resource Management: Maintain, organize, and inventory lab equipment, materials, and supplies, ensuring everything is properly stored, maintained, accounted for, and ready for use.
Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in STEM education through continuous professional development and training.
Parental Communication: Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and involvement in STEM activities, offering insights and suggestions for at-home support.
Extracurricular Activities: Plan and supervise STEM-related extracurricular activities, such as science fairs, coding clubs, and robotics competitions, to further inspire student interest and participation in STEM fields.
