Unified Therapy Services Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Dubuque, Iowa

Unified Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistantto provide treatment at our pediatric outpatient clinics in Dubuque, IA and Lancaster, WI. This position will float between our clinic in Dubuque, IA and Lancaster, WI.

Our team consists of occupational and physical therapists and speech-language pathologists. We address each patients individual needs with private treatment rooms and a large gym. We have an abundance of swings, pediatric equipment, and unique lighting designed for our children with special needs. Between private treatment rooms and large gym space, we can assess and treat everyone that walks through our doors. Our therapists pride themselves on their skill sets and ongoing certifications and training.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Implements treatment plan established by Occupational Therapist.
  • Informs Occupational Therapist of changes in patients condition.
  • Is responsible for tracking and following state regulations and guidelines for therapist contact with patients and supervision requirements with the Occupational Therapist as directed in the policies and procedures.
  • Makes recommendations to Occupational Therapist for adjusting treatment plan as needed to progress patient or discontinue services.
  • Performs necessary documentation including progress notes, discharge notes and logs in a timely manner according to regulations.
  • Maintains positive relationships with the health care team, patient and family.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree (A.A.), of OTA

Hours of Operation

  • Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday 8am-1pm
