Prestage Inventory Specialist in Eagle Grove, Iowa

Company Overview:

Prestage is a leading company in the agricultural industry, specializing in swine production and meat processing. We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist to join our team and ensure accurate and efficient management of inventory at our facilities.

Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure accurate inventory levels

  • Monitor and track inventory movements, including receiving, storage, and distribution

  • Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile variances

  • Work within inventory databases and assist with effective inventory control procedures

  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions

  • Build partial pallets at the end of shift and label pallets accordingly

  • Identify "at risk" product and dispose of accordingly

  • Utilize forklift, high lift, and mule to move pallets accordingly

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Maintain KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and score cards to drive continuous improvement

  • Ensure USDA regulatory compliance, HACCP, SSOP, SOP, GMP, and SQF program quality, and safety

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • High level of organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required

Requirements

Experience:

Prior forklift/high lift experience in a production environment preferred but not required.

Experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role.
