Our client, a leader in the biotechnology and research industry, is seeking a Microbiologist II to join their team. As a Microbiologist II , you will be part of the Research & Development Department supporting the Manufacturing and Laboratory Teams . The ideal candidate will have attention to detail , strong interpersonal communication skills , and a commitment to safety , which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Eddyville Iowa 52553 United States

Pay Range: $23 - $27

What’s the Job?

• Assist with general lab duties, including preparation of sterile growth media, stock solutions, and general lab cleaning.

• Perform aseptic sampling of the manufacturing process.

• Conduct direct microscopy and plating while adhering to clean room protocols.

• Inoculate and manage shake flasks using aseptic technique.

• Prepare and analyze samples using a microscope, spectrophotometer, and other analytical instruments.

What’s Needed?

• A 4-year college degree in a science field (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, or related).

• Laboratory experience via academic or prior work positions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer literacy.

• Competency in aseptic culture techniques.

• Knowledge of standard safe laboratory practices and a commitment to working safely.
