Summary/Objective

The service technician position performs highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain customers’ equipment.

Essential Functions

1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and repair fluid handling products.

2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of pumping equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.

3. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

4. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.

5. Read and interpret pump manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

6. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

7. Perform regular preventive maintenance on pumps and equipment.

8. Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

9. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is especially active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, around 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for overtime.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
