GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Operator III, Facility Maintenance is a general duty all-encompassing facilities maintenance and general operations support role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day to day facilities maintenance and repair of machinery that keeps the plant operating.

  • Tote maintenance when required.

  • Heavy lifting and respirator clearance required.

  • Assist in specialized projects as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Capable of assisting Maintenance Supervisor with prioritizing shift workload and completing assigned tasks

  • Coordinates with other departments and operational sites as needed to fulfill maintenance objectives

  • Assists when vendors and contractors are onsite services

  • Capable of ordering and obtaining quotes for materials

  • Follows appropriate EHS procedures and policy

  • Maintains communication with internal departments and maintenance supervision to ensure compliance with policies and procedures

  • Performs all non-supervisory duties for all positions within the department, as necessary

  • Other duties as assigned

SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and execute policies and procedures that emphasize ChemTreat product quality and plant safety.

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of departmental practices and procedures.

  • Overtime as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma. Trade licensing a plus

  • Experience in plumbing, painting, carpentry, basic electrical principles, construction, forklift operation, and computer data entry a plus.

  • Working knowledge of basic mathematics and common tools needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell

  • Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards.

  • Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds

  • Frequently operate a forklift and other heavy equipment used in maintenance and construction as well as operate power tools stationary and portable

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a specialty chemical blending and packaging facility where hazardous materials are present.

  • Will be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and workspace restrictions.

  • Required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.

  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

  • Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $27 - $27 USD per hour.
