Our client, a growing manufacturing operation in Ft Dodge, Iowa is hiring a Assistant Controller as an add to staff for their team. This is a tactical position that has their fingers on the pulse for what is going on in the operation and how it impacts the larger parent company. This will be the "go to" person for metrics, analysis, budgets, KPI's, forecasts as well as monthly financials. A day in the life can go from diving deep into costing products to making recommendations. No two days will ever be the same, the challenge will be rewarded with a hybrid working arrangement, family feel with the bonds that get established yet upward mobility for that right person. Candidate must have a BS in Accounting and 2+ years of manufacturing accounting and analysis experience.

Requirements

• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience

• Well-founded grasp of Identifying Trends

• Explain Variance experience

• Practical knowledge of Fixed asset management

• Quality experience with Annual External Audit

• Inventory Variance experience

• Proven knowledge of budget forecasting

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

• Strong communication skills

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
