What's the job?

In complete alignment with the Company's Vision, Mission Statement and Values and under the direction of the Mine Manager, this position is responsible to operate the crusher, power screener, other equipment CT owns, and to oversee subcontracted works (such as stripping, reclamation) the shipment, maintenance, and services of equipment regularly.

This individual will directly supervise 2 employees at the mine with possibly more in the future, as well as indirectly oversee temporary and permanent contractor crew and their activities in terms of safety, environmental compliances.

This position assures the mine and mobile equipment operates safely, in an environmentally responsible manner achieving preferred customer service and product quality within spending budgets to meet all established business and production standards.

Essential Duties:

Operational & EHS Functions

• Oversee mining operations and operating mobile equipment

• Maintain a safe work environment,

• Perform workplace exam including ground conditions, geo-hazards, berms, water issues, and control measures to reduce the risks including guards and other safety features

• Monitor the production processes and product quality and direct efforts to adjust the process and/or equipment to maintain quality and production standards

• Maintain, operates, and supervises all mobile equipment (FEL, Exc, Mobile crusher, fuel truck) to produce and load crushed rock for cement and agriculture market

• Oversee/schedule drilling-blasting activities

• Oversee shipment, troubleshooting scale and ticketing issues

Supervisory and People Functions

• Encourage his team to recognize unsafe conditions, acts and reporting

• Report performance results in accordance with company standards using assigned tools

• Train, schedule and assign production personnel and contractors to work activities

• Monitor and request consumables, fuel, spare parts, etc., and maintain a housekeeping, and well storage conditions

• Participates in WCM improvement activities as directed and maintains required documentation

• Support manager in Capex projects to gather data

• Oversee capex projects progressive on site

Purchasing Functions

• Submit/Follow Purchase requisitions, approvals

• Be familiar with SAP functions to be assigned in regards the responsibilities of the job

What do you bring?

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining and rock handling operations.

• Regulatory safety and environmental with strong familiarity with a national, local compliances.

• Knowledge of health/safety/environmental mining regulations (MSHA) is required.

• Experience driving and certification of most of equipment used in mine environment is required.

• Knowledge of quality control / gypsum testing

• Knowledge of AM/PM

• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated team leadership and management expertise.

• Strong PC skill proficiency including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Must be able to learn and effectively use SAP systems-
