POSITION SUMMARY

As a Quality Assurance Operations Supervisor (QA Operations Team Leader), you will be responsible for day-to-day operational quality support of the factory to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements. Through supervision of lab associates, you will ensure compliance to quality standards, specifications and requirements. As the factory subject matter expert in sensory testing, you will oversee the hands-on assessment of ingredients, in-process product and finished product. You will promote continuous improvement as it pertains to quality and safety, the core of Nestlé Purina culture.

  • Manage daily QA Operations and Processes to ensure compliance with mandatory standards and principles which include Food Safety, Regulatory and Quality Requirements, including trouble calls for off shift/weekend coverage as needed

  • Coach, develop and mentor the QA team

  • Lead factory audit programs to verify adherence to certification standards, regulatory requirements, product and process specifications

  • Review, maintain and enhance factory QA resources to support personnel training and competency development, food safety, and quality management systems

  • Manage Ingredients program, finished product releases and hold programs

  • Ensure compliance to Quality and Food Safety Standards including FSSC 22000 and ISO

  • Drive the Quality pillar in support of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) for the factory

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 3+ years of experience working in a quality, food manufacturing, laboratory, military or related role

OR

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Life Sciences or related scientific discipline and 1+ years of experience working in a quality, food manufacturing, laboratory, military or related role

The approximate pay range for this position is $77,608 - $97,577. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
