Position Title: Head Baseball Coach
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Activities Director- Ian Smith
POSITION PURPOSE-
To help student-athletes learn skills to achieve success in their sport.
QUALIFICATIONS-
Requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Must hold current coaching authorization and have a skills background in the sport involved.
- Head Coaching Experience Preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
Plan and schedule a regular program of practice in season.
Work closely with the activities director in scheduling games and tournaments
Recommend purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
Maintain necessary attendance forms, insurance records, and similar paperwork.
Oversee the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
Establish performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in the coachs sport.
