Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated High School Principal and ActivitiesDirector to lead our educational institution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the school, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for both students and staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and a commitment to educational excellence. The High School Principal/ActivitiesDirector will work closely with teachers, parents, and the community to foster an atmosphere of collaboration and continuous improvement. The role of an ActivitiesDirector should be to provide each student enrolled in middle school or high school activities or 7-12 athleticprograms with an opportunity to participate in a sound educational experience, both in the classroom and through the activitiesand athleticsprograms.

High School Principal Duties

  • Develop and implement school policies, procedures, and programs that align with educational standards.
  • Oversee budgeting processes to ensure effective allocation of resources.
  • Supervise faculty and staff, providing guidance and support to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Engage in public speaking engagements to represent the school at community events and meetings.
  • Manage classroom activities, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with educators in curriculum development to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Conduct regular assessments of student performance and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Foster a positive school culture that promotes respect, diversity, and inclusion among students and staff.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and school initiatives.

Activities Director Duties

  • Represents Glidden Ralston at all conference, regional, or state meetings when representation is necessary.
  • Ensure representation at Rolling Valley/Districtmeetingspromoting Glidden Ralston School interests.
  • Promotes positive school-community relations by keeping the communityaware of and responsiveto the needs of the activities and athletic programs.
  • Submits all reports which are required by the Boardof Education, the administration, the IGHSAU and/or IHSAA.
  • Maintain an active involvementand participation in the athletic and fine arts developments at the state, regional and national level.
  • Advices the administrations on all policies, salaries, etc. for all involved in the athletic/activitiesprograms.
