Adecco US, Inc. Industrial Crane Service Technician in Grimes, Iowa
We are a family-owned and operated company that has been designing, building, installing, and servicing custom overhead cranes across the country for over 60 years. We're a growing company with a strong focus on the central US, and we're looking for dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team based out of St. Louis.
As an Industrial Service Technician, you'll be part of a team that brings our customers' visions and designs to life. You'll travel to customer sites across the region, working hand-in-hand with your colleagues to maintain and service, runways, crane bridges, hoists, and controls. You'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, ensuring all parts and equipment are present, and using your skills to operate, maintain, and repair clients' machinery. You will be working directly with our clients at their sites.
This is a hands-on job that requires a variety of skills, and previous overhead crane maintenance experience! SUMMARY:
The Service Technician will run electrical and mechanical diagnostics and deliver required repairs. They are responsible for performing comprehensive quality inspections and preventative maintenance services on overhead cranes and hoists. They will spend a majority of their time on clients’ sites providing service, and as such, are expected to serve as a frontline representative of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists and drives.
Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
Proper use of a man lift during service.
Evaluate and communicate with customers recommendations requiring repairs.
Communicate with management and sales as to what further needs the customer could have.
Maintains time tracking per job and reports any product concerns or inconsistencies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
CORE SKILLS:
Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and schematics.
Ability to read and execute fabrication drawings.
Ability to manage time to a schedule and accountable for reporting per job.
Ability to properly maintain and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience as a crane technician.
Mechanical and electrical skills ideally learned from a trade school.
Overhead crane experience required, and familiarity and exposure to operating cranes and hoists a plus.
Welding aptitude would be a benefit.
Ability to work overtime.
Demonstrated positive attendance record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
Ability to frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or stool.
Frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights.
Ability to work in outside conditions during all seasons.
Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Overtime possible and on-call rotation required
Travel Required: Yes, within the region
Overnight trips possible (limited)
Per diem provided
Full-time position: Yes
Pay: $33.00+/hour

Pay Details: $33.00 to $40.00 per hour
