Job Title: Senior IT Security Architect FLSA: Exempt

General Function:
The Senior IT Security Architect leads the strategic direction and execution of the organization's security infrastructure. This role goes beyond implementation, focusing on shaping the long-term security vision to mitigate risks in a rapidly evolving threat landscape. Leveraging advanced expertise in Network Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, and Identity Access Management (IAM), the Senior IT Security Architect ensures enterprise-wide protection and compliance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the design, deployment and documentation of advanced, scalable security architectures across network, endpoint, cloud, and IAM domains, aligning with organizational goals.
Develop enterprise-wide security strategies and roadmaps, ensuring proactive risk mitigation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct and assist with security audits and penetration tests, identifying critical vulnerabilities and driving remediation efforts.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing expert guidance on emerging threats, security investments, and technology adoption.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure security is an integral part of IT systems, applications, and business operations.
Mentor and coach staff, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices across the organization.
Continuously evaluate and implement cutting-edge security technologies and solutions to stay ahead of evolving cyber threats.
Represent the organization in external security forums and contribute to industry-wide discussions on cybersecurity advancements.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in IT security architecture.
Expertise in Network Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, and IAM.
Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF 2.0).
Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, DLP, VPN).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus
Physical Requirements:
Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: operating a computer, occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking.
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: meeting with customers, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
