George C. Grape Community Hospital Paramedic 24 hour shifts in Hamburg, Iowa
Paramedic 24 hour shifts George C. Grape Community Hospital is looking for a full-time Paramedic to join our EMS Department! 24 hour shifts.
Duties
-Provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system.
-Provide basic assistance to individuals who are suffering from injuries or other health related problems.
-Function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight.
-Perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance.
-Assists with or participates in certain procedures as directed by the RN and in accordance to nursing policy and procedure.
Requirements:
Education
•High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
•Associate degree in Paramedicine required
•OR
•Graduate of an accredited Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) training program required
•OR
•Graduate of an Paramedic Program required.
•Participate in mandatory in-services and continuing education programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by supervisor.
Experience
•Minimum of 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
•EMS-Paramedic providing service in the hospital is employed by or serving as a volunteer member of an Emergency Medical Service licensed by the Department.
License/Certifications
•Must have current valid Paramedic Certification.
•Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
•Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required.
•Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification required.
