ManpowerGroup Maintenance Technician in Hampton, Iowa

Our client, a manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production machines used at the plant. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, and experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair work.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Hampton, IA

Pay Range: $25 to $35 an hour

What's the Job?

  • Troubleshoot all manual and CNC equipment to identify problems and perform repairs

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment as specified in the work order instructions

  • Repair equipment by removing defective parts, replacing with new or usable, test to see if repair was adequate

  • Identify parts needed for repair and get quotes to purchase the parts

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area consistent with the Company’s housekeeping policies

What's Needed?

  • Two (2) to four (4) years vocational training or a minimum of 6 years experience in related maintenance field

  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment preferred

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, blueprints, correspondence and memos in English

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
