Job Title: Installation Technician
Job Description
As an Installation Technician in the construction industry, you will be responsible for completing furniture installations to specification, which may include mounting cabinets, cubbies, counters, or bookshelves before business occupancy.
Responsibilities
Deliver and assemble furniture on a commercial jobsite.
Follow blueprints and instructions to determine furniture assembly and placement.
Load and unload the truck.
Install furniture according to blueprints or job tickets.
Mount cabinets and bookshelves.
Prep and clean up the job site.
Assemble furniture as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
Use hand and power tools daily.
Handle assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation of modular office furniture systems.
Review floor plans and exercise space planning.
Problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions as necessary.
Inspect furniture for proper operability per manufacturer’s guidelines.
Organize and comply with company policies, procedures, and protocols.
Essential Skills
1 year of experience with hand and power tools.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Effective communication skills.
Positive representation of the company.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with basic hand tools.
Ability to follow directions.
Physical strength to perform heavy lifting.
Mechanical skills.
Previous carpentry work or construction experience using hand and power tools is a plus, though not required.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 7am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, with weekends on a volunteer basis planned 30 days in advance. We are customer-focused and committed to completing projects on budget, on time, and with no hassle or disruption.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Hiawatha, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
