Description We are in search of a dedicated PC Technician based in Iowa City, Iowa. The role will involve providing comprehensive technical support to both local and remote users in a fast-paced work environment. This role offers a contract employment opportunity and requires a strong understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and other internal applications.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to technical help tickets submitted via phone, email, and walk-ups.

• Provide necessary IT support for Windows, Microsoft Office, and other internal applications.

• Install and configure Windows OS, networked and local printers, as well as business applications.

• Administer and troubleshoot in a Windows 7 environment within an Active Directory.

• Exhibit exceptional problem-solving skills for Microsoft Office applications.

• Follow up on technical issues and ensure their resolution.

• Keep track of user inquiries and develop a database for future troubleshooting and training.

• Work closely with other tech team members to coordinate efforts and offer the best support.

• Continuously update personal technical knowledge to provide the most effective service.

• Deliver excellent customer service while dealing with end-users. Requirements • Entry-level position, no prior experience required

• Basic troubleshooting skills are essential

• Must possess excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Must have a professional and positive attitude towards work

• Flexibility to work in shifts if required

• Strong organizational and time management skills are a must
