Job Title: Material Handler Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a Material Handler Supervisor to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will operate a sit-down forklift, utilize RF scan guns, and load and unload products from trailers in the warehouse. You will assist operators with materials when needed, use the internal shipping system, and inspect inbound and outbound products. As the team lead within the warehouse, you will oversee a team of employees without directly managing them.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift

• Utilize RF scan gun

• Load and unload product from trailers in the warehouse

• Assist operators with materials when needed

• Utilize internal shipping system when needed

• Inspect inbound and outbound product

• Act as the team lead within the warehouse, overseeing a team of employees

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED

• 6+ months of manufacturing/production experience

• 6+ months of lead experience

• 2+ years of forklift experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, production, warehouse, shipping & receiving, material handling, general labor

• Proficiency with RF scanner and sit-down forklift

Work Environment

You will be working in a very clean and temperature-controlled facility that manufactures bottles and caps for products such as shampoo, conditioner, and mouthwash. You will need to follow GMP guidelines. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, long pants (jeans or khakis), and a t-shirt. Ear plugs and hair nets will be provided. This is a night shift position, working from 10pm to 6am, Sunday through Thursday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50
