Job Opportunity: Customer Support Representative

Robert Half is hiring a Customer Support Representative to join John Deere's e-Commerce Contact Center team in Johnston, IA! Location: Johnston, IA (Onsite at John Deere Financial)
Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service by handling inbound calls from customers and dealers across the USA, Canada, and Australia regarding part orders or items available for purchase on Shop.Deere.com.
Make occasional outbound calls to research, investigate, and follow up on customer inquiries.
Accurately document all interactions in the internal case management system.
Handle approximately 15-20 calls per day.
Schedule:
Contact Center hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST.
Three rotating 8-hour shifts:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Must be available for any shift within the support window.
Work onsite five days a week with the option to work from home on Fridays.
Requirements
Training:
Training and mentoring will occur on the 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shift for approximately six weeks.
Full productivity is expected after 3-4 months.
Special Considerations:
Limited travel to nearby Des Moines Works for factory tours and Jensen Farms (twice a year) with a Deere employee.
Willingness to work occasional overtime and holidays.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of agriculture, turf (mowers), and utility vehicles.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, IT, or related fields (preferred).
6+ months of customer service or support experience, ideally in a call center.
Familiarity with agriculture or technology dealer channels is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Strong research and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to speak confidently.
Proven dependability and a solid work history.
Reliable at-home internet and a distraction-free workspace for remote work days.
