Job Title: Diesel Technician

Job Description

Seeking a diesel technician experienced with trucks/semis and equipment/construction machinery. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and diagnosing all equipment and vehicles used by the company such as backhoes, man lifts, cranes, excavators, dozers, dump trucks, pickup trucks, conveyor systems, and more. Perform preventative maintenance on the listed equipment, including fuel/oil/air filters, lubrication, belts, bearings, tracks, wheels, brakes, fluids, etc. Additionally, the role involves removing and replacing parts like clutches, differentials, radiators, transmissions, steering columns, and repairing systems such as suspension, cooling systems, air systems, after-treatment systems, light electrical systems, and structural components-fabrication.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Johnston, Iowa.

Work Environment

1st shift hours - 7am-5:30pm (50-hour weeks are normal, could be more, rarely less). Currently, there are 3 people in the shop - a smaller, close-knit team. The shop is newer and organized for the most part, but can get dirty if working on large machinery brought in from the field - mud, dust, etc.
