Actalent Field Service Technician in Johnston, Iowa

Job Title: Field Service TechnicianJob Description

Travel to client sites, primarily around the Des Moines metro area with additional travel within Iowa and Omaha. Your role will involve direct communication with clients via phone and email to diagnose issues and perform troubleshooting. You will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and controls issues onsite, explaining maintenance procedures, providing system upgrade recommendations, and maintaining accurate service records.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Johnston, Iowa.

Work Environment

The majority of the work will be onsite at customer locations such as datacenters and schools. Although there is an office in Johnston, visits there are infrequent. You will be equipped with a company truck, tools, computer, and phone for work purposes. Work may sometimes be collaborative, depending on project size, but often will be independent. Occasional overtime is expected, especially during project commissioning, compensated at time and a half.
