Johnston Community School District Technology / Digital Learning Environment Specialist (Anticipated) in Johnston, Iowa
QUALIFICATIONS:
Practical working knowledge of computers and operating systems (WIN, Mac OS, iOS)
Practical working knowledge of a 1:1 Digital Learning Environment
Thorough experience with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) software application
Thorough background in productivity software, including but not limited to Microsoft and Adobe products
Experience in both Macintosh and PC computer repair
Ability to work cooperatively with staff
Ability to communicate effectively

Professional Performance Criteria
Responsibilities:
Perform hardware, software, leadership and organizational skills in a 1:1 Digital Learning Environment
Provide technical assistance for audio visual and computer equipment and peripherals
Repair, when possible, or diagnose needed repair for all audio visual and electronic equipment
Transport equipment or arrange for transport of equipment to and from outside repair facilities if unable to perform repairs in-house
Perform periodic cleaning and diagnostic routines on computers located in all buildings
Organize, train and supervise students in a student run help desk environment
Order and stock supplies and parts
Maintain log of activities and repairs
Unpack, inspect, test and mark new equipment prior to delivery and/or installation
Provide repair records and histories of repair parts
Maintain detailed knowledge of network operating systems, WAN, LAN network functioning
Assist with installation of new software and upgrades
Be knowledgeable of and abide by all school board policies, procedures and other applicable laws including copyright
Must hold valid driver’s license
Other job-related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs
