As an Industrial Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for process development & improvement, standardization, documentation, and estimating. This position will report directly to the Director of Engineering and collaborate with all levels of our organization.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead and participate in the completion of pre-production activities; including the development of standard production rates, production routings, process flow charts, develop and procure fixtures and quality gauging and tooling, creation of work instruction and support of production part approval

· Become proficient with all Fabrication equipment to enhance and support production team

· Develop and maintain time standard tables for cycle times and cost to manufacture of products. Coordinate with accounting and operations as required

· Assist operations and design engineering in the identification and understanding of events affecting productivity, utilization of labor or equipment and or shipping

· Document work instructions and time study analysis to aide in establishing and achieving manufacturing floor standards

· Lead integration of new processes and equipment

· Create, maintain, and enforce a safe and efficient work environment

Perform other duties as assigned

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ability to organize work and effectively manage a variety of projects simultaneously to meet company goals

· Develop understanding of production floor and material flow

· Effectively communicate information to all levels of organization

· Understanding of software to document, analyze, and optimize process improvements

· Perform root cause analysis and develop/manage appropriate corrective action

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ag Engineering, Industrial Engineering, related field or equivalent practical experience

· 3+ years manufacturing or industrial engineering experience

· Experience with manufacturing quality systems

· Experience with sheet metal processing and fabrication equipment

· Experience in weld fixture design, tooling design preferred

· Experience designing with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks

· Experience maintaining BOM routings in an ERP system, preferably Epicor

· Manufacturing environment

· Daily exposure to hot, cold, dusty, noisy environment

· Occasional to frequent outdoor work

· Potential work at different area workstations to meet production needs
