IKM MANNING HIGH SCHOOL Part-Time Program Facilitator for Alternative Program in Manning, Iowa

Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and organized Part-Time Program Facilitator to oversee our alternative program, ensuring that students stay on track with their self-guided online curriculum. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for education, and the ability to motivate and support students in a virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Student Monitoring and Support:

    • Monitor students' progress in the self-guided online curriculum.
    • Provide timely feedback and support to students to ensure they stay on track with their coursework.
    • Address any questions or concerns students may have about the curriculum or technology.
  2. Communication and Coordination:

    • Regularly communicate with students, parents, and teachers regarding student progress and any issues that arise.
    • Coordinate with the program director and other staff to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  3. Data Management and Reporting:

    • Track and record student progress and attendance.
    • Prepare regular reports on student performance and program effectiveness.
  4. Program Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement within the program and suggest solutions.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of program enhancements to better support student learning.
  5. Technical Assistance:

    • Provide basic technical support to students navigating the online learning platform.
    • Troubleshoot common issues related to the online curriculum and liaise with technical support teams when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in education, tutoring, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with online learning platforms and basic computer troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for supporting students and helping them succeed in a non-traditional learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with online education or alternative programs.
  • Background in educational technology.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a part-time position and willbe from7:45 to 12:00.
