Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. This role involves a variety of tasks, including assembly, custom fabrication, and loading/unloading duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assembly: Follow work orders to attach handles and hinges to cabinet doors, glue sides of doors, clean, inspect, and use basic hand tools and a tape measure to help assemble doors.

• Custom Fabrication: Perform tasks such as fabricating solid surfaces, sanding, building desks and die walls, t-molding, self-edge countertops, making backsplashes, vanity sinks, coat racks, and display cases.

• Loading: Load and unload semis, wheel pallets, and handle shipping and receiving tasks.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of experience in labor, construction, assembly, or manufacturing.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse or production environments is a plus.

Work Environment

Our company specializes in custom cabinet making and is located in Marion, Iowa. The environment can be hot in the summer with fans at every station and can be dirty and dusty. The dress code includes jeans or shorts, T-shirts, and closed-toed shoes. Working hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with the option to work through lunch and leave at 4 pm. Fridays are currently optional.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
