Are you an experienced Software Engineer III with a passion for object-oriented programming and collaboration?

In your first year, you will play a crucial role in delivering software solutions that address real-world problems and improve our products. This position will sit onsite full-time Mason City, Iowa.

What will you be doing?

  • Software Development: Provide innovative software solutions based on established specifications, considering IT priorities. Assist in requirements gathering, analyze operational feasibility, and follow the software development lifecycle.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Stakeholders, and team members to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of solutions.

  • System Enhancement: Analyze business objectives, prepare action plans, and identify areas for system modification and enhancements.

  • Maintenance and Support: Maintain existing software systems, identify and correct software defects, and assist the infrastructure team as needed.

  • Documentation: Develop work instructions, procedures, and coding standards. Document and test solutions and assist with end-user training as required.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about relevant technologies, expand your skill set, and seek necessary training.

  • Safety and Compliance: Actively contribute to a safe and harmonious working environment and ensure compliance with all governance policies, regulations, and laws. Compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws (ASSA ABLOY Door Group programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct).

    What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated progressive experience with requirements gathering and analysis.

  • Must be able to code in Java, C/C++, Python, C#.NET, VB.NET, Ruby on Rails, PHP OR Swift.

  • Hands-on experience developing stored procedures, functions, tables and joins using SQL Sr.

  • Must be comfortable with “On-call Duties” which includes being available for assigned responsibilities.

    Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field of study.

  • Professional work experience with ILE RPG, OS400 and DB2 Databases.

  • Accustomed to working in an Agile Development environment a plus!
