A Helping Hand caregivers are, above all, compassionate, dependable, self-directed, trustworthy and scrupulously conscientious in providing in-home care for the elderly or disabled. The services our team of caregivers provides allow people to remain safely in the familiarity of their own homes, contributing to the well-being and positive quality of life for clients and their families.
AHHHC caregivers travel to individual client homes to provide a variety of assistance that may include any of the following:
Companionship
Stimulate, encourage and connect
- Companionship and conversation
- Letter writing and correspondence
- Playing games, cards
- Photo albums, scrapbooks, memory boxes
- Taking walks (walker, wheelchair)
- Outings, trips, visits to friends and family
Household
Light housekeeping, errands, incidental transportation
Light housekeeping (dust, vacuum, make beds, change linens, clean bathrooms, clean kitchens, laundry, ironing etc.)
Planning and preparing meals
Arranging and completing errands
Drop off and pick up prescriptions
Order and pick up groceries or in-store shopping with client
Dry cleaning, drug store, library or other needs
Appointments with doctors, dentists, etc.
Provide notes from medical appointments to client families
Vet or pet care appointments
Church services or meetings
Organize closets, cupboards
