Position: Physical Therapist
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain information from physicians to assist with diagnosis, prescribed therapy, and patient evaluations.
Develop and implement therapy programs utilizing physical agents (heat, water, light, electricity).
Perform diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and physical ability tests.
Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, gait, and functional training.
Direct patients in the use of wheelchairs, braces, canes, crutches, and prosthetics.
Evaluate and document patient care for review by physicians, insurers, and the rehabilitative team.
Requisition supplies and equipment.
Educate local businesses and community groups on health, fitness, and ergonomic assessments.
Supervise physical therapy assistants, technicians, and support staff.
Provide training for medical and nursing personnel on physical therapy techniques.
Participate in staff conferences, in-service, and educational programs.
Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and conferences.
Conduct patient education programs as needed.
Provide home health and nursing home services where applicable.
Additional Responsibilities:
Handle patient-related issues with professionalism, assisting with medical evaluations, treatments, and consultations.
Schedule patient appointments and manage insurance pre-certifications.
Operate office systems for patient documentation and communication.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Education & Experience:
Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapist educational program.
Licensure: Maintain Iowa state licensure to practice physical therapy.
Experience: No experience required if educational qualifications and licensure are met
