Robert Half Logistics Coordinator in North Liberty, Iowa

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in the logistics industry, based in North Liberty, Iowa. This role requires you to coordinate and streamline transportation logistics, ensuring efficient delivery of goods. You will be expected to utilize various transportation management systems, and manage customer shipments effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and consolidate Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and truckload orders using routing software and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.

• Monitor deliveries and assist carriers in resolving any issues, communicating to relevant parties as necessary.

• Provide specialty mode transportation services such as LTL, Intermodal, and Bulk/Ocean Container.

• Assign, tender, and complete all transactional activities in appropriate Transportation Management System (TMS) settings.

• Consolidate LTL shipments into truckloads to provide economical rates and high-performance levels.

• Support shipping locations with rush shipment arrangements and problem resolution.

• Act as a liaison between Sales/Customer Service, Transportation, and Warehouse departments.

• Participate in other activities and projects as assigned or dictated by business priorities.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Transportation Logistics and Management

• Ability to Coordinate Logistics and manage Customer Shipments

• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems

• Ability to manage Travel Logistics effectively.

Requirements

• Proficiency in transportation logistics is required

• Ability to manage transportation effectively

• Familiarity with transportation management systems

• Experience in coordinating logistics

• Knowledge of travel logistics is essential

• Ability to handle customer shipments efficiently

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field is preferred

• Knowledge of industry laws and regulations is a plus.
