Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a 3rd shift maintenance supervisor. You will oversee a crew of 4-5 night shift employees and communicate with production as needed. You will cover all mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical breakdowns. Critical components include belt and chain-driven conveyors, PMs, gearboxes, motors (3-phase). Electrical ranges from 24-260 volts, but can go up to 480 volts. Strong electrical candidates will work on 4160 cabinets, PLCs, VFDs, industrial ovens, bagging machines (Automation), etc. Major electrical work will be contracted out, but you must troubleshoot issues before contractors arrive. The biggest must-have is experience with AB PLCs. Equipment used includes drill press, metal cutting saw, mills and lathes, hydraulic press, die grinder, hand and power tools. This facility is food grade and manufactures various products.

Hard Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in North Liberty, Iowa.

Work Environment

HOURS: Sun - Thurs (6:30 PM to 4:30 AM), with training on DAYS for 3-4 weeks. Union environment on the maintenance side. Crew of 9 when full. Industrial bakery -- hair and beard net, steel toes, jeans, glasses, and NOT BUTTONED shirt required. Small crew: culture is key. Climate-controlled environment with strong odors and smells at times, depending on production.
