Position Description:

Provide engineering support to operational and technical support teams for Field Engineering and Company’s Information Systems and System Users. Monitor, maintain, provision where applicable and support all networked computers and servers, associated operating systems and service applications (gaming and nongaming.) Responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of all in-house computer and server hardware, software, IP voice, data, video, wired and wireless network services, including Local Area Network (LAN) services, connectivity; to include low voltage services, and acts as liaison with IT Operations Center systems and network engineers to provide exceptional customer service

  • Provide team leadership, technical oversight, on-the-job training and mentorship of Field Engineers with emphasis on career advancement within the Company; works closely with other Senior Field Engineers

  • Provide advanced support to first and second level Field Engineers by performing advanced incident troubleshooting and tracking, escalated problem resolution, root cause analysis, product research, fault isolation, follow-up and complete documentation to include action reports to department team leaders

  • Identify, prevent, and resolve network server and computer hardware and software failures, including the restoration of configurations with assistance from IT Operations Center engineers or in combined resolution efforts with vendor support engineers and technicians

  • Authorizes vendor remote access, confirms proper disconnect when support efforts are completed in an efficient and accurate manner

  • Follow all safety guidelines and security precautions

  • Responds to computer, network or data security vulnerability alerts and participates in Company IT Event Management communications at the property and regional levels for high priority outage restoration efforts

  • Analyze and resolve computer and printer hardware and software problems in an efficient and accurate manner following all safety and security precautions

  • Provide setup and teardown services for local, regional and national performing acts. This includes load in, load out, and set construction.

  • Operation and troubleshooting of computerized lighting systems for stage and industrial areas. Create and control lighting for local and regional acts.

  • Configuration, programming, and maintenance of high-end sound equipment including mixing boards, amplifiers, audio processors, wired and wireless mic systems. Providing both front and back of house support and operation of these systems during performances.

  • Install and troubleshoot digital signage systems including both indoor and outdoor displays, video walls, projectors, monument and pylon signs. Familiarity with VGA, DVI, HDMI, and Multicast preferred.

  • Perform moves/adds/changes on traditional, digital, and IP based phone and voicemail systems. Basic understanding of PRI, ISDN, POTS and IP based communication technology required.

  • Record, monitor, track, and document work performed using the Company’s tracking system

  • Certify, test and terminate network cabling systems using Company provided tools and test equipment and identify substandard cable terminations for repair

  • Provide scheduled and escalated on-call support for after-hours support issues and resolution

  • Provide installation, upgrade, performance monitoring, preventive maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links within property data centers and communications closets or where Information Technology assets are contained in a training or production environment

  • Provide advanced support for Company’s Marketing Media Content Delivery Systems

  • Perform inventory of Company assets and documents stock levels for department visibility

  • Monitor and maintain computer and user accounts for necessary and appropriate access to various software and network applications in accordance with Company policies and procedures

  • Coordinate installations with various departments and provides status updates to property teams and management

  • Provide Smart Device activation and deactivation, programming and enrollment into Company’s Mobile Device Management System and provide initial and advanced user training

  • Other duties, as required

  • In-collaboration with and under guidance of Corporate IT functional teams:

  • Execute and participate in disaster recovery testing

  • Participate in functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, planning, and configuration of networking, hardware, and/or software

  • Execute implementations, and rollouts of new networking, hardware, software upgrades and tools used in the tracking and collections of computer organizational units

  • Perform advanced desktop engineering functions: image setup, deploy or move, user training and support using Company configuration management tools and applications

Determine product compatibility, flexibility, and recommends replacement, upgrade or retirement of Company assets; coordinates end of life disposal of assets with approved recycling companies according to applicable laws and regulations during assigned duties

Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates of Applied Science degree in a computer science discipline or comparable level of experience preferred.

  • Must have Five (5) years of experience in an IT Support position, preferred, OR a combination of Network or Systems Engineering experience AND any combination of the following:

  • Five (5) years of applied experience with current Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

  • Five (5) year of experience working on large-scale infrastructure, enterprise desktop, and server-related projects preferred.

  • Must have advanced server and computer networking and client-server experience in a resort hotel casino environment preferred

  • Must be proficient with managing Active Directory Objects for Users and Computers

  • Must have a high level of technical knowledge relative to the installation and connectivity of computer and printer systems, including the configuration, maintenance and support of new and existing solutions.

  • Prior experience with Cisco Ethernet Switches suite of products preferred.

  • Must have strong organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Must be knowledgeable in advanced computer, multi-function-printer operation and related support and troubleshooting techniques

  • Must be able to type quickly and accurately, preferably at least 50 wpm.

  • Must have exceptional customer service, verbal and written communications, interpersonal and telephone etiquette skills; and adopts Company core values

  • Must be proficient in current and various Microsoft Server Operating Systems, including current Office Suite of applications
