The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking aProject ManagerOffice of Research and Creative ActivityiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiThe Project Manager for the Office of Research and Creative Activity (ORCA) supports the continued growth of research and creative activity at UNO by working with the leadership team on a variety of projects and events. This individual provides consultation management including input on the strategic direction of faculty development programs initiated by ORCA, such as grant writing workshops and presentations on federal agency funding processes. The Project Manager will be responsible for the logistical planning and organization of the Student Research and Creative Activity Fair. This position is also the campus liaison between the Associate and Assistant Vice Chancellors for Research and Creative Activity and other departments on activities related to ORCA programs and events. iThe Project Manager uses discretion and independent judgement while serving as the main grant coordination point of contact for allocated programs. In this role, this position will provide customer-focused support to investigators in their pursuit of funding from programs including the Nebraska Research Initiative and Collaboration Initiative. This position will assist the ORCA Chief of Staff to manage, track and report on all allocated funds through the electronic proposal management system.iThis individual also serves as the point of contact and primary trainer for new and existing users of research related software and resources including the electronic proposal management system and grant finding portals. The Project Manager will maintain the ORCA website, including posting announcements and funding opportunities and compiling the weekly ORCA MavDaily updates. iProfessional communication, collaboration, and high-level problem-solving skills are essential to the success of this position.i The successful candidate will interact effectively and expeditiously with all levels of university faculty, staff, students, and sponsors, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethics. S/he will work efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced work environment. Required Qualifications:Bacheloris Degree Experience with online research administration.
