TITLE: Substitute Teacher
REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee
JOB SUMMARY: Provides instruction in the curricular areas and behavioral skills to students in PreK through 12^th^grade during teacher's absence
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In the teacher's absence, follow the lesson plans provided to ensure programming associated with core curriculum and behavioral skills
- Follow behavior management plans for students
- Assists and collaborates with the administration, school counselor, staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to academic achievement and social/emotional/behavioral goals
- Maintains appropriate records and protects the confidentiality of data
- Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Appropriate State of Iowa Licensure including Substitute Authorization Certificate
- Experience in classroom teaching PreK - 12^th^grade preferred.
- Initiative to be a self starter
- Intuitive to the needs of students
- Flexibility in assignment given
- Ability to use good judgement
