1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who enjoys empowering a team to deliver digital products? In this role, you will collaborate, organize and ensure team alignment to deliver solutions that produce the intended outcomes. We’re looking for an effective decision-maker, team leader and dynamic communicator to advance digital products at Vermeer.

What You’ll Do

  1. Facilitate the team ceremonies (e.g. stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospectives) to accomplish the work, promote team collaboration and collect feedback for continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with the delivery team product owner.

  2. Ensure that team processes are observed. Coach the team on organizational principles and practices. Establish team processes that support organizational goals. Identify opportunities to improve team performance and optimize process. Work with team members to implement process improvements and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

  3. Measure team performance by tracking key metrics including but not limited to those representing Throughput, Change Failure Rate, and Mean Time to Recover. Use these metrics to identify areas for improvement and to coach the team to continuously improve. Communicate plans to implement improvement activities.

  4. Demonstrate the ability to build collaborative working relationships that enable effective communication to maintain alignment with team members, stakeholders, and leadership. Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly, adjusting communication style to fit the needs of the audience.

What We’re Looking For

  • High School diploma required.

  • Current student pursing a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or Information Technology.

  • Previous internship is a plus.

-Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Lucid Charts and software development lifecycles (agile, lean, waterfall).

  • Project management, organizational skills, risk management, with focus on time-management and prioritization.

    Travel

    • Occasional travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
