PRIMEBANK Commercial Loan Officer in SIOUX CITY, Iowa
Summary
This position is responsible for the generation and servicing of commercial loans in Primebank's Sioux City market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and grow a commercial loan portfolio.
- Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns and other related financial documents.
- Evaluate and underwrite all aspects of a commercial loan request, including but not limited to loan structure, real property, investments, pricing, market stability, past and future trends.
- Counsel existing and prospective commercial loan customers throughout the loan process.
- Negotiate terms and structure of commercial loan requests.
- Ensure compliance with bank lending policy, procedures and regulatory procedures.
- Monitor loan portfolio to correct loan documentation exceptions.
- Service loan portfolio to reduce past dues and charge offs.
- Monitor and make decisions on assigned commercial deposit accounts relating to overdrafts, service charges, return items, etc. for commercial customers.
- Work with existing commercial lenders and market president to identify and implement new ideas and market strategies to improve loan growth, cross-sells, marketing and staff development.
- Promote deposit products and services to customers and prospective customers.
- Represent the bank in civic and community activities to promote the image of Primebank within the market area.
Qualifications
Education
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field is required.
Knowledge and Experience
- At least five years of direct lending experience in a financial institution is required.
- A comprehensive knowledge of banking rules and regulations is required.

Work is performed indoors free from significant weather conditions and adverse environmental conditions. A selected candidate must pass a criminal history background check and have a favorable credit history for bonding purposes.
