We’re looking for aHuman Resources Generalistto join our team and play a pivotal role in managing the daily functions of our Human Resources Department. Key Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will:
Maintain and update our Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and generate reports as needed.
Address internal and external employment-related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, communication, and issue resolution.
Manage employee leaves of absence and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Lead the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, background checks, and access setup, ensuring a smooth transition.
Collaborate with HR and organizational teams to disseminate communications and support company initiatives.
Partner with leadership to drive organizational change and continuous improvement efforts.
Provide direct support to the VP of HR, gaining exposure to various HR functions and experiences.
Coordinate employee training and development programs in collaboration with the Manager of Learning and Development.
Assist the Safety & Risk Manager with safety program support and record management.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
0-2 years of Human Resources experience.
A solid understanding of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, ERISA, and COBRA/HIPAA.
A commitment to delivering exceptional service to employees.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under deadlines.
Confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to learn new HR software applications.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.
A proactive, results-oriented approach and a willingness to innovate.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to other office locations as needed.
