We’re looking for aHuman Resources Generalistto join our team and play a pivotal role in managing the daily functions of our Human Resources Department. Key Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will:

  • Maintain and update our Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and generate reports as needed.

  • Address internal and external employment-related inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.

  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, communication, and issue resolution.

  • Manage employee leaves of absence and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Lead the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, background checks, and access setup, ensuring a smooth transition.

  • Collaborate with HR and organizational teams to disseminate communications and support company initiatives.

  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational change and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Provide direct support to the VP of HR, gaining exposure to various HR functions and experiences.

  • Coordinate employee training and development programs in collaboration with the Manager of Learning and Development.

  • Assist the Safety & Risk Manager with safety program support and record management.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 0-2 years of Human Resources experience.

  • A solid understanding of employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, ERISA, and COBRA/HIPAA.

  • A commitment to delivering exceptional service to employees.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under deadlines.

  • Confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to learn new HR software applications.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • A proactive, results-oriented approach and a willingness to innovate.

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to other office locations as needed.
